Student Web Activity Answers- Brazil’s government is a federative republic.
- Brasília was designed by Oscar Neimeyer, Lucio Costa, and Burle
Marx. The city was designed for automobiles and air conditioners, and distances between locations are enormous. These distances and the lack of trees to provide protection from the fierce sun make walking a means of transportation problematic.
- Brazil’s dominant religion is Roman Catholicism. The religion was
brought to the area by Portuguese explorers.
- Current problems faced by Brazil’s government include a poor health
care system, overcrowding, rural landlessness, environmental issues, and
political corruption.
- Students’ presentations or poster displays will vary.
