Chapter 3: Business Transactions and the Accounting Equation

Making It Personal

Occupational Outlook Handbook

Before buying a car or purchasing a stereo, you probably did a lot of research on prices, options, and reliability. Research and information are also necessary when deciding on a career. You will want to know whether jobs are available in the field you are interested in, whether the salary sounds good, and of course, what you will be doing on the job. All this information helps you make an informed decision about your future. The Occupational Outlook Handbook, published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, is revised every two years and helps job seekers learn more about careers.
