Chapter 4: Nutrition

Student Web Activities Lesson 2: MyPyramid

Introduction

Eating well can be a challenge unless you know which foods are right for you.  That’s why the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) came up with the MyPyramid system.  The system divides foods into groups that should be eaten each day.  It also suggests how much of each food you should eat based on things like your age, gender, and how much exercise you get.  On the Web site below you will learn about each of the groups in the pyramid and make your own personal eating plan.
