The All-American Slurp

“The All-American Slurp” is about a Chinese family who struggles to learn American customs. When they host a dinner party, they notice that the American family struggles with their Chinese customs. Many customs look funny to people who are not familiar with the culture from which the customs come. Think about the way that you eat and dress and talk to the people around you. Which of these customs would seem funny to someone who is unfamiliar with your culture? Write a short paragraph listing some of these customs. Take time to imagine how they would look to someone from outside your culture.
