Mad

Write your own version of “Mad.” Begin your poem with the same words that Naomi Shihab Nye does:

I got mad at my mother
so I __________________

You can use your imagination to express unrealistic situations, as Nye does. Make sure your poem has a resolution. When you are finished with your poem, read it out loud to another student and compare your poem with his or hers.
