In “The Most Dangerous Game,” Rainsford swims ashore Ship-Trap Island, a mysterious island in the Caribbean Sea. Throughout world literature, many characters have found themselves in similar circumstances. For example, Odysseus discovers unusual islands throughout The Odyssey and Sindbad finds the island of the roc in The Thousand and One Nights. Write a short story located on an exotic or mysterious island. Be sure to use descriptive details to convey what your main character encounters on his or her adventures.
