How Things Work

In “How Things Work,” Gary Soto writes about the cause-and-effect relationship of money and the economy. How do you earn your money? Where do you spend your money? Where does the money go after you spend it? Write a paragraph or two from the point of view of a one-dollar bill. Describe the path that the dollar bill might travel throughout one day. Try to include as many different ways as possible in which the dollar could be moved along.
