1.

The Tucson Zoo

In this essay, the author describes his joy in seeing animals at play in a zoo and develops an interesting theory about human instinct. Think about a memorable experience you have had with an animal, whether a pet, a wild animal, a farm animal, or an animal in a zoo. The experience may have been exhilarating, like Thomas’s, or frightening, puzzling, or humorous. In a journal entry, write about the experience and what the experience or the animal taught you about nature, yourself, or humankind.
