Student Web Activity Sample Answer
The Neoclassical movement was a cultural movement focused on the intellectual rather than the emotional and was derived from French models. The movement was called neoclassical because it looked back to classical times, and the classical ideals of order and rational control. Neoclassical writers and thinkers believed that man was imperfect, with limited potential. Three influential English writers from this period are John Milton, Daniel Defoe, and Dr. Samuel Johnson.
