Macbeth, Act IV

Playwrights advance the plot through dialogue and action. Occasionally they will use a dramatic device such as a letter to provide the audience with relevant information. Write a letter from Macduff that Lady Macduff might be reading as Ross arrives. Consider including information such as where Macduff has gone, whom he plans to see, the purpose of his journey, and why he has left his family behind.
