Epigrams

Pope’s epigrams reveal his beliefs about human nature. They describe the personal qualities and attitudes Pope considered valuable; they also show what qualities Pope considered harmful. What are your beliefs about human nature? Which personal qualities do you consider valuable? Which are harmful? Write three two- to –six-line verses describing your beliefs and observations about life or human nature. Make sure to convey a moral, or message, in each verse. Use a simple rhyme scheme in your verses.
