Drawing a conclusion is using details from the text to arrive at a general statement. Reread the first page of the story up to the beginning of the last paragraph. Based on your rereading, list everything about the setting and the characters you know. For each fact, jot down a note explaining how you came to that conclusion. Share your list with a partner or the class to compare your conclusions with the conclusions of others.
