The Crucible, Act 1

Write an original scene in which you describe Abigail’s dismissal from the Proctor farm seven months earlier. Include a conversation between John and Elizabeth prior to the confrontation between Abigail and Elizabeth. The dialogue in the first ten pages of Act One offers many hints and clues for developing the content of your scene. Use the correct format for dramatic dialogue, with the name of the speaker followed by a colon and then the speaker’s words. Include stage directions and place them in brackets.
