Wings

In “Wings,” the author italicizes her sentences whenever she writes about the gods. She also uses italicized sentences at the end of her story. Why do you think she does this? Is there a purpose in making these sentences look different from other sentences in the story? In a couple of paragraphs, explain why you think the author chose to write her story in this way.
