The Pasture

In Robert Frost’s poem “The Pasture,” the speaker describes what he enjoys in nature. Have you ever heard the expression “Take time to stop and smell the roses”? Think about what this expression means to you. Identify a simple physical pleasure you enjoy. It might be a frosty cold drink on a hot day, the sound of a fishing lure striking water, and so on. Write a poem or a few paragraphs about a time when you enjoyed this simple pleasure. Use language that appeals to the five senses to share with readers your enjoyment.
