Dreams

Langston Hughes’s poem “Dreams” reminds us of the importance of setting goals and having dreams. Reread the poem and think about one of your goals or dreams. In a journal entry, describe your goal or dream. Explain why it is important to you and what led you to pursue it. Discuss what steps you might take to achieve your goal or dream. Who might be able to help you and how might that person help? Do you have a deadline in your mind for when you should achieve this goal or dream? Describe what your life will be like when you achieve this dream or goal in the future.
