These selections are retellings of two well-known Greek myths. Using the Internet or a library, research other Greek myths or the myths of other cultures. Choose a myth that interests you. Think about that myth’s theme, or message about life. How would you state that theme? Then write your own retelling of this myth. Use description and dialogue to bring your story to life. Be sure that the theme you identified in the myth is clear in your telling.
