Introduction
Students have read about what creative drama is and how it differs from formal drama. Before they complete the column activity, you may wish to discuss as a class the benefits of creative drama and formal drama.

Lesson Description
Students will complete a column activity to reinforce the differences between creative drama and formal drama. For each description, students will be asked to classify characteristics of creative drama or formal drama.

Instructional Objectives
1. Students will understand the definition and concept of creative drama vs. formal drama.
2. Students will classify characteristics of creative drama and formal drama.
