Introduction
Students have studied how to use electronic resources. In this activity, they will use an Internet search engine to practice researching a topic.

Lesson Description
Students will go to http://www.google.com/ to research “baldness.” Students will then answer questions based on using the search engine.

2. Students will discover Google's different features.

Student Web Activity Answers

1. Possible answer: alopecia
2. Possible answer: By clicking the “Advanced Search” link near the “Search” button at the top of the page, Google will search for your topic by using exact phrases, by a particular language, by sites that have been recently updated, or by using a particular file format.
3. Possible answer: A link to the definition is found in the blue bar next to the number of Web pages that Google located containing the word baldness. If you click on this link it takes you to Dictionary.com's definition for “bald.”
