In this unit, you learned how to locate information in a dictionary and thesaurus. Go onto the Internet to use an online dictionary.

  • Start at the Merriam-Webster Online Web site, www.m-w.com.
  • Click on the Merriam-Webster Online tab, if necessary.
  • In the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary field, key the word competition. Click the Go button. Read the entry and click the Back button.
  • In the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary field, key the word blue-collar. Click the Go button. Read the entry and click the Back button.
