Financial literacy is the foundation of effective personal financial planning and includes budgeting and retirement planning as well as managing credit, tax strategies, and insurance. Financial literacy not only benefits the financial health of individuals but also the health of the economy as a whole. The site provides programs, activities, and other resources for improving financial skills and knowledge including podcasts, games, tutorials, and other online resources.

The Financial Literacy Now Campaign, spearheaded by The McGraw-Hill Companies and its nonprofit partners (The New York Public Library, Council for Economic Education, Literacy Partners, Talking Fin Lit, and Working in Support of Education – W!SE) was launched to raise awareness of financial literacy and promote financial literacy education.
