Vocabulary Builder Course 1Lesson 11:
Activity Lesson PlansIntroduction
Students have learned vocabulary words related to geometry. Before students
begin the activity, you might have them visit the mcescher.com Web site. One
person who influenced M. C. Escher was the geometer H. S. M. Coxeter. Have students
click on Gallery to view some of Escher's work. Lesson Description
Students will use knowledge gained about geometric terms to complete a True/False
activity. To complete this activity, students drag either True or False
to fill each blank. When they are finished, they can check their work. Instructional Objectives
- Students will use their knowledge of geometric terms to help them determine
whether a statement is true or false.
- Students will increase their understanding of words by thinking about them
in different contexts.
