Physical changes include:

1. Dissolving of sugar in water
2. Evaporation of water from sugar solution
3. Stirring to mix
4. Melting butter on the pans.
5. Solidifying of candy

Problem 2:
Chemical changes include:

1. Caramelization of sugar.
2. The release of carbon dioxide gas when the baking soda is added.
