ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHEETS

These are PDF documents that the instructor can print out and distribute to students for completion. They are keyed to the 17 lessons on the Student Interactive CD.

Application Activities
Hands-on activities provide students an opportunity to apply their knowledge of lesson vocabulary in a real-world manner. Each activity specifies equipment needed, estimated length of the activity, procedures, and an expected outcome. One activity is provided for each lesson.

Context Clues
These worksheets contain sentences in which one key word or term from the current lesson is missing. Students must use the context of the sentence to "fill in the blanks" with the correct terms.

Labeling Worksheets
These supplement the labeling activities on the Student CD-ROM. Students label the parts of a drawing or diagram.

Terminology Worksheets
A list of terms is provided, with space for students to write the correct definition after each term.

Definition Worksheets
Definitions are listed in random order, and students write the terms being defined.

TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT TOOLS

These are instructor aids for planning, management, presentation, and assessment.

Managing the Electronic Classroom
This article explains the concepts and terminology pertinent to managing an all-electronic classroom (AEC). It describes various approaches for managing an AEC successfully and suggests effective student evaluation methods.

Lesson Plans
Organize your classroom and lab time using these overviews. Each lesson plan contains objectives, suggestions for teaching, ideas for activities and enrichment, and suggestions for assessing student learning. Click on the icon for a sample lesson plan (53.0K) .

PowerPoint® Presentations
These illustrated presentations divide each lesson into logical subunits, such as Anatomy and Physiology, Disorders and Diseases, Laboratory Tests and Diagnostics, and Treatments and Surgical procedures. Each presentation ends with review questions.

Answers to Worksheets
Answers to the student worksheets are provided.

ExamView® Assessment Suite
This software includes a 45-question test bank for each lesson. Instructors can also create custom tests by adding, editing, or deleting questions from the test banks.
