Activity Lesson Plans

Introduction
Students have learned vocabulary words associated with literature and literary technique.

Lesson Description
Students will go to http://www.encyclopedia.com and read about Shakespeare's poetry. They will be prompted to think about how four words are used in the selection, to write a definition for each one, and to use each one in a sentence. After they are finished, they will find the words in a dictionary.

Instructional Objectives

1. Students will discern and write the meanings of words by thinking about the context in which they are used.
2. Students will learn the meanings of four new words.
