Introduction
In this lesson, you learned ten vocabulary words associated with literature and literary technique. Go to the Internet to read about Shakespeare and try to guess the definitions of words from the context in which they are used.

Start at http://www.encyclopedia.com.

  • Enter the keywords "William Shakespeare" (make sure you use quotation marks).
  • Click on Search.
  • Click on Shakespeare, William (the first entry).
  • Click on The Poetry.
  • Read this section.
  • Follow the directions below.
  • When you are finished, compare your definitions to the definitions in a dictionary.
