In Chapter 7, you learned about the steps to take to successfully apply and interview for a job. The first lesson discussed the application process, which includes organizing a résumé, writing a cover letter, filling out applications, getting references and letters of recommendation, and marketing yourself with a personal career portfolio.

You learned how to prepare for an interview, how to conduct yourself during an interview, and what to do after an interview. You learned to expect and prepare for preemployment tests. You also learned that the interview should be a learning experience. Even if you don’t get the job, you can use what you learn from the interview to prepare for your next application and interview.
