Enjoying family meals requires respect for the people around you. Families use mealtime to strengthen their relationships, and to share news about their lives. When setting a table, place settings are arranged in a logical order for convenience. People observe generally accepted rules of behavior when eating to show consideration to others.

When you know how to behave in public, you can increase your level of enjoyment, as well as those around you. Follow the rules of etiquette for restaurants, and outdoor dining to be sure that everyone remains safe and comfortable.
