Click on "What is OPEC?" and read about the organization and its purpose. Name two tasks that OPEC works to accomplish.

Click on "Who are OPEC Member Countries?" and "Does OPEC Control the Oil Market?" Where are the majority of member countries located? What kind of influence do they have on the oil market?

In the left side column under "FAQ" (Frequently Asked Questions), select "The oil industry." Click on "What happens if oil prices go up or down?" Describe why stable oil prices are best for both consumers and suppliers.
