"Khyber Pass"
IntroductionLocated in the Hindu Kush mountains, Peshawar, Pakistan, is one of the oldest cities in Asia. It was once a trading center along the Silk Road. Peshawar is along the eastern end of the Khyber Pass and is the first major city that you come across after passing through the Khyber Pass. In Chapter 7, you learned that parts of Southern Asia are bordered by various mountain systems that protect the people and the region.
